No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.
Our church is a small congregation of determined and open-minded individuals committed to honoring God and the presence of God in each of us (All of Us). If this is your first time here and you would like to know about us: who we are and what we believe, get to know us through our news, worship, prayer and Missions.
We trust that you will find us to be warm and inviting and a community open to people of different cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identity and religious beliefs. If you are looking for a place to worship, join us for our Sunday morning service which begins at ten o’clock.
First Congregational United Church of Christ, Ypsilanti celebrates everyone, including people of all ages, races, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, family configurations, economic circumstances, physical, cognitive or emotional abilities, education or spiritual or religious traditions.
All are welcome to participate fully in the life, leadership, ministry, and missions of this church as we seek to grow together in a safe and nurturing community of faith.
We strive to demonstrate in all ways that “NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE OR WHERE YOU ARE ON LIFE’S JOURNEY, YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!”
The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that come together as one church to join faith and action. We believe in a God that is still speaking, a God that is all-loving and inclusive. We are a church that welcomes and accepts everyone as they are, where your mind is nourished as much as your soul. Our faith is over 2,000 years old…our thinking is NOT.
