Lourdes Salazar Bautista has been ordered to leave the US by August 2, 2017. We stand with Lourdes to fight her deportation.

Lourdes has lived in Ann Arbor for 20 years, she has three U.S. citizen children - she is a devoted mother and community member.

Lourdes first came in contact with ICE in 2011, and after being detained for almost a month ICE "traded" Lourdes for her husband, Luis. Lourdes' husband was deported and Lourdes was allowed to stay in the United States.

Every year Lourdes has had to check in with immigration and every year she has been granted a stay of removal. In March of 2017, Lourdes's stay of removal was denied and she has been ordered to buy her plane ticket and leave the country by August 2nd.

We are asking ICE to allow Lourdes to stay in the U.S with her three US born children and grant her a stay of removal.

Will you join us in supporting this fierce, kind, and hardworking woman? Stop the Deportation of Lourdes Salazar! #LuchaporLourdes

The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that come together as one church to join faith and action.

We believe in a God that is still speaking, a God that is all-loving and inclusive. We are a church that welcomes and accepts everyone as they are, where your mind is nourished as much as your soul. Our faith is over 2,000 years old…our thinking is NOT.
